We are looking for photographs and illustrations to accompany the articles and essays in the magazine. Whenever possible, we seek to print art that has not previously appeared in other publications.

We pay $60/photo. In addition to the photos we need to accompany stories, we also publish a regular feature, “1,000 Words,” that highlights environmental photography.

We are also seeking high-quality, eye-catching illustrations to accompany feature stories. Pay rates depend upon whether the graphic is an original design or an existing work.

We cannot guarantee to run unsolicited submissions. Decisions about what material to publish are at the sole discretion of the editors.
